Best Biotech Stocks to Consider (Sept 1, 2017)

10:38
Hey Traders, Biotechs have really been moving the last couple weeks and I believe it is time to really take notice. From 2012-mid 2015 nothing was hotter than the biotech sector up over 330% as a collective group. If you were buying and holding individual biotechs....you probably did much better. Biotechs pull backed until earlier this year where they broke out of a 1.5 year downtrend. Now the money is clearly rotating into these stocks as money managers look to take some profits off some more expensive sectors In this video I am going to show you.... 1. An in depth technical analysis of the biotech industry 2. 3 biotechs and 2 med supply stocks that I think are poised for a BIG move 3. exactly how I would play each one (enter/exit) 4. Why you should consider over weighting biotechs in your portfolio To find out what other stocks we are invested in take a $1 trial https://members.thetradersplan.com/checkout Disclosure: PLEASE DONT GO OUT AND BLINDLY BUY ANYTHING I DISCUSS HERE. How to Trade The VIX

09:52
Hey Traders, Given that we are in the summer months and it appears that we are going into corrected mode I feel that making a blog post on How to Trade the VIX or How to Use the VIX to make trading decisions was very important at this time. In this video I go into great details about... 1. Why the 20 LEVEL on the VIX matters 2. What happened to the S&P 500 the last 7 times the VIX hit 20 3. What you can do to avoid getting sucked into buying an oversold trade 4. How To Invest In The Next Super Cycle

22:56
If you have ever looked at a 100 year Dow Jones chart I highly recommend it. You will see magical growth of the last 120 years or so. However, if you look a little closer you will notice the Dow Jones kinda looks like a stock. It goes up for awhile....then goes sideways. Unfortunately, those sideways consolidations in the Dow Jones can last anywhere from 12-20 years. Yikes. If you were just a buy and hold mutual fund investor or you do not have a sector rotation strategy....you probably didn't do very well from 2000-2013. On the plus side after the market goes sideways for 12-20 of under performance it usually has superior performance for the following 12-20 years in what most people call the Super Cycle. If you were invested from 1982-2000 you know what I am talking about and right now I believe we are in the fairly beginning stages of a Stock market Super Cycle that can last a decade or longer. In this video I am going to show you... 1. Dow chart going back to 1900 to understand what can be expected 2. Where I believe we are in the cycle 3. How you can invest to make sure you are in the strongest sectors 4. Simple rules to keep us from getting hurt in a bear market PLEASE DON'T GO OUT AND BLINDLY BUY ANYTHING I DISCUSS HERE. PS. The Trader's Plan Weekly Market Update 5.11.18

40:45
The S&P 500 broke out of the triangle pattern this week and is hopefully setting us up for a nice post correction rally. Right now I am paying attention to see if Nasdaq can ride the 20 DMA higher. Looking at the last 3 good corrections going back to 2010 all have had nice multi week to multi month rallies. It is important that once you buy a stock to try to hand in there as long as you can (don't over trade) Energy is kicking butt and taking names. What is really interesting to me is that the XLE is just now getting back above the Dec 2016 high and is still way below the 2014 peak of $90. With interest rates and oil rising energy stocks could continue to climb higher. In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. S&P 500 finally broke out of triangle pattern. Small caps Lead S&P 500 2. VIX and how it is falling like a rock 3. 3 Industry ETFs...FFTY, MJ, KWEB and how I use them 4. Deep dive into Energy Industries (which ones are the strongest). The market took a breather today which is not surprising considering the move it has made in the last couple weeks. Right now for this rally to hold I continue to watch the rising 20 Day EMA for the Nasdaq and S&P 500. In this webinar we look at the current rally and how it compares to the last 3 corrections to give us a road map of what to expect. Also, commodities are getting stronger. After it looked like they were gonna crack a couple weeks ago the CRB firmed up at the 40 week and is look bullish. Energy and mining stocks and ETFs look like they are ready for the next leg higher. Watch the webinar on how to play them In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. S&P 500 and Nasdaq charts and where I would expect the first level of support to be 2. What the uptrends have looked like following corrections (giving us a road map) 3. Energy and Gold Miners are looking strong (look for retracement in Energy) 4. Treasury Yields looking strong bodes well for Financials 5. Market Breadth in the S&P 500 is turning up

I am really concerned about some of the secondary indicators I am looking at. The S&P continues to struggle and rotate into defensive groups every time it gets close to breaking to all time highs. The institutions are nervous. A bear market would be healthy and wipe the slate clean to start a new bull market. Based on evidence I am seeing I don't see the market breaking to new highs from here and running into a new 4 year bull market. We shall see In this webinar we dive deep into... -Current Market Analysis -Identifying long term topping phase for Nasdaq -Why the 20 level of the Vix is so important (we have now reached that) -Market Breadth -Sector Rotation (what's leading, what's lagging) -Gold & Miners -Why Apple still looks like a short -A few interesting charts (UNG, FB, CORN, JO)

The Trader's Plan Weekly Market Update 5.3.18

38:02
Hey Traders, The market is reversing off the lows today which is a positive given the S&P 500 undercut the 200 DMA today and reversed above it. The S&P 500 is at an inflection point on the chart where anything can happen. The descending triangle pattern is in play which is typically a bearish continuation. If the market is going to bounce out of this I believe it needs to do so within the next couple days. If the S&P closes below today's low that could open the door to quick momentum to the down side. I would keep my powder dry and let this inflection point play out for a couple days. No sense putting money to risk until we have a clear signal up which could be a couple days away. In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. S&P 500 is in a descending triangle which is typically bearish but until support breaks I will maintain an open mind 2. A look at past market corrections to see how they play out (hint: corrections are ugly but a ton of money is made coming out of them) 3. Dollar could be in just a counter trend rally 4. Commidties are showing leadership over the S&P 500 for first time in years 5. 8 Weed stocks and the exact pivots I am watching for potential entry

The major indices are still in a bullish uptrend while we are entering a very bullish period of the year. Even more interesting (in my opinion) is how commodities are acting. Both oil and gold are looking very bullish and with gold and yields looking weak this could be the catalyst that gives gold a nice leg up. I interviewed a Hedge Fund manager last year and something he said really stuck with me and I think about it all the time. "Think like a Maker, Not a Taker". What this means is trying to think and see where the market makers are going to make their plays and how they use the takers (us) to make money. Once you watch this video the concept is actually pretty easy to grasp on how to keep from being taken advantage of. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. Why commodities outperform stocks when the Golden Cross happens 2. Treasury yields and bonds are looking shaky 3. I Changed my mind being bullish on banks and like commodities and retailers 4. FIT breakout was completed and looking bullish 5. How to be a Maker, Not a Taker (we look at 5 sample charts explaining this) Please do not go out and blindly buy the things I talk about. Market Update Webinar 12 8 17

28:30
The market had a strong day yesterday even though the market tapered off the latter part of the day. This is something I always look for. However, when you are in a raging bull market (like I consider us one in) sometimes identifying bearing scenarios can be a fools game. In a bull market look for bullish outcomes. Commodities really took a back seat to stocks this week which could affect other areas of the market like international stocks which I talk about in this webinar. International stocks have been outperforming US stocks the last six month but it is starting to flatten out where they are in line with each other. Thy this is important is if you are holding some international ETFs (like me) you have to know when to switch back to US. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. Where the distribution is in the market 2. Why commodities got hit this week 3. Gold break out failed and oil looks like it needs a deeper correction 4. A special signal for when to buy oil stocks 5. 6 stocks that I like (including a mini lesson of one of them) Learn one of my Top 5 Cornerstones Strategies "The Weekly Reversal" below https://members.thetradersplan.com/stockbottoms

Coming out of a correction isn't always easy to put money to work especially if you got whipsawed around on the latest leg down. The good news is that strong market trends typically follow ugly corrections so it is important not to get caught flat footed and let the next uptrend pass you by. Sometimes it is important to remember that Babe Ruth was also a strike out king but that is not the first thing people think of when they think of the Hall of Famer. The only thing that matters is the score at the end of the game. Not how you got there. Rules based investing is important especially when being hesitant after getting taken out to the wood shed. Follow the rules as you don't know what trends or signals are going to be the ones that make your year. In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. The exact rules I follow for how to scale back into the market 2. S&P 500 short and long term charts 3. Commodities are turning up when dollar is looking vulnerable 4. The Nasdaq and other major indices are charging ahead today. It's funny because every time you think the market is going to pull back it sucks you back in. The bring trend is up so you need to stay invested until major support starts to break. You never know how high the market can go as we are entering into the most bullish time of the year I am wondering how much more juice can push up the market. We shall see. Even though the market looks great today Consumer Staples are leading which doesn't mean the sky is falling but I prefer to see the aggressive sectors leading the way higher. I believe there are enough yellow flags in the market right now so before you take a trade it is important to ask yourself "How can the market shake me out"? This exercise should keep you buying close to support because if it breaks there is something wrong. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. In depth chart patterns of the major market indices 2. Why the Small Cap Breadth under 60 is important 3. 4 Emerging Market ETFs I think can smoke the market over the long term 4. New Enter and Exit Strategies for Weekly Reversal Strategy 5. Market rotation is a part of every market cycle. Institutions take profits and move their money to more attractive areas of the market (from a valuation stand point). This provides opportunities for individual investors as we can easily ride their coat tail into the strongest sectors of the market (with greater ease too) It's incredibly hard to call a market top. If you saw my VLOG last week I went over that I feel we are in the middle of a Super Cycle (10-20 years of market out performance). So you need to stay bullish until the market proves you otherwise. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. In depth chart patterns of the S&P 500 and Small Caps 2. Looking at Market Breadth (and why they are secondary) 3. International Stock Investing - When you should enter

12:33
In this week's VLOG I want to discuss a SIMPLE and Powerful ETF rotational strategy I use for some of my long term money. If you have an IRA or 401k..I assume most of you have some long term ETFs or mutual funds. Well....you really need to watch this video to make sure you don't get stuck in the wrong ETF for the next 8 years. From 2000 to 2008 Emerging Markets outperformed S&P 336% vs 49%. That's nuts! Meaning your emerging market ETF would have beat your S&P 500 ETF by 5 fold. But trends don't last forever....from 2010 to 2017 S&P beat emerging markets 89% to -13%. Boy is that a shift. You don't wan't to be holding the laggard for that long of a period hoping it will relive its glory days. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. How to easily identify if you should overweight International stocks, emerging markets or S&P 500 2. why I think international stocks could beat the S&P over next 5-8 years 3. exactly how I would play each one (enter/exit) 4. why you need to invest in the Leaders (not Laggards) 5. the fundamental and technical reasons on why it is time to over weight international stocks PLEASE DON'T GO OUT AND BLINDLY BUY ANYTHING I DISCUSS HERE. Commodity Trading Techniques

Hey Traders, I am seeing lots of evidence that commodities are making a comeback. In John Murphy's Intermarket Analysis book...he discusses commodities usually really get going towards the end of the business cycle (and close to market tops). The Trader's Plan did pretty well last year when Copper, Uranium and other commodities went parabolic. Copper is still leading but Gold is looking really strong and all the others are looking to follow suit. I just recently took some profit in miners and some oil stocks but am waiting for several of them to pull back again for possible longer term trades. In this video I am going to show you.... 1. An in depth technical analysis of the dollar and how it is negatively correlated with commodities 2. 5 Commodities that are showing promising signs 3. exactly how I would play each one (enter/exit) 4. Even though the market rolled back into a correction keep in mind that we could only be a day or 2 away from a new uptrend. The Nasdaq and S&P reversed yesterday and are showing some accumulation today. For the rally to have any legs I will watch to see if it can hold the 20 DMA for a few days then hopefully we can get a multi week rally On top of analyzing the market this week I decided to go through some earnings scans (given that it is earning season). In this video I am going to show you what I do every weekend as a part of my routine when I am going through scans. We are going to look at the most recent 15 earnings gap up charts and I will give pass or fail ratings. In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. S&P 500 and Nasdaq charts reversed yesterday and are showing accumulation today 2. Energy Continues to dominate the Top Sector List 3. Getting close to a Gold Short set up 4. It's nice that the market is bouncing today but it is completely normal in a choppy environment to be up big on up days and down big on down days. 5 out of the last 6 days the Nasdaq has moved 2% or greater. I am a little disappointed that the volume is below average on today's bounce but accumulation could come in the days following s o I am taking note. During market corrections I believe taking a trip down memory lane to look at the corrections in 2015, 2011 and 2010 so we can see all the possibilities of what to expect. As noted in Trading in the Zone Mark Douglas continues to pound the "anything can happen" drum. I agree with this statement. However, the market has an upward long term bias and so will I. Being bearish all the time won't make you any money. You will watch opportunity after opportunity pass you by In this webinar I cover the following topics.. 1. Nasdaq looks to test 200 DMA 2. S&P 500 60 Minute, daily and weekly chart 3. 2015, 2011 and 2010 market correction charts in great detail 4. Dollar is giving us a head fake 5. Solid growth stocks pulling back to 50 DMA
