Eric and I (Erik) get a gold high-banker and scale up our operation. We run yards of pay-dirt. Watch multiple highbaker clean-ups. We cool off from the California summer sun, and snipe for gold underwater, immediately finding nuggets. It was Eric's first time, and where I left off he found really good gold! It was the best I had seen underwater at the time. Really nice gold we found this day. How much? Well, you'll just have to join the Goldventure. Stay tuned for the rest of 2017 Mining adventures, as well as 2018, which will surely be epic! Grab a beer and sit down for a truly golden, gold adventure. Live long, and prospect! Busy working on other channels and catching up on other channels so sorry if I don't see your comment for several weeks or months. Exploring The Labyrinth Of An Abandoned California Gold Mine

34:28
This video takes us exploring to the Sacramento Gold Mine in the White Mountains near Chalfant, California on 5-4-2018. The trip starts with a drive across the foothills followed by a hike to the lower terminal of a tram that carried ore from the mine to a lower area where it could be trucked away. We continued up the trail to the upper tram terminal to find the source of the ore. We found three different entrances to the very irregular collection of diggings. There seems to be drifts that were excavated following rich ore veins going in all directions. The mine is quite low in many parts where you are unable to stand up straight. We explored as best we could with the time we had, but were unable to finish, and didn't even get up to the upper areas where an ore chute was coming down from above. The 5½ mile hike/exploration took us 4½ hours to complete and gained a total of 2100 feet in elevation.

Enjoy this tour of the Capital Prize gold mine located in Georgetown, Colorado. This recently opened mine takes you a incredible 1,000 feet into the mountain. Despite over 10,000 mines in the State of Colorado, very few offer tours. This was one of the better tours I have been on with many branching tunnels, and a drill demonstration. Thanks to the tour operator for allowing me to film this video. Filmed in August, 2018. More information can be found on the website below. https://www.capitalprizegoldmine.com

34 Million Dollar Gold Mine in California, The Kennedy Mine Surface Tour!

13:27
34 Million dollars worth of gold was taken from the earth at the Kennedy Gold Mine. It was one of the deepest gold mines of all time, and is now a tourist attraction where you can take surface tours and learn about everything above ground that turned these tunnels and caves into one of the most lucrative gold mines in the entire gold rush. The Kennedy Gold Mine was right in the heart of The Mother Lode, which was the vein of gold that basically started the California Gold Rush. Exploring Active Mines: Alleghany's Sixteen to One Mine

31:36
Located in the California mountain town of Alleghany, the Sixteen to One Mine is now the oldest gold mining corporation in the United States and with more than 26 miles of underground workings, it is a seriously impressive operation! This remarkably rich lode gold mine was located in 1896 by a man named Thomas Bradbury in his backyard (we should all be so lucky). More than a million ounces of gold have been extracted from the Sixteen to One Mine over the course of its existence (an amount worth well over a billion US dollars at current gold prices) and there is still much more gold inside of the mine waiting to be found... The gold inside of the Sixteen to One Mine does not follow a set pattern and is instead found in rich pockets randomly scattered across the quartz vein that the mine follows. Some of the pockets of gold are as small as an ounce or two and others contain tens of thousands of ounces of gold. The very existence of the Sixteen to One Mine revolves around locating these pockets of gold. The lower levels of the mine are presently flooded, but they are being dewatered at this time as the Sixteen to One Mine has two new gold detectors with proven successes in identifying gold in quartz previously undetected with older models. The potential of this new technology has inspired the company to pay the price of dewatering and rehabilitating the lower levels of the mine in order to pursue the gold they know is down there. No one has walked inside of the 3000 level since 1939 and so one can only imagine what might be found down there now. At present rates of pumping, the water in the lower levels of the mine is dropping at the rate of about 100 feet per month and access to the 3000 level may be restored by as soon as June of 2018. On this visit, we entered through the 800 Crosscut and first proceeded to the 49 Winze. Following this, we then headed deeper inside of the mine before dropping down through multiple levels to an incredible cavern that the miners carved out inside of the Sixteen to One Mine - the company calls this “The Ballroom” for its immense size and acoustics… For more information on the Sixteen to One Mine or even to buy physical gold or stock shares from the company, one can visit their website at: http://www.origsix.com/ ***** All of these videos are uploaded in HD, so adjust those settings to ramp up the quality! It really does make a difference… You can click here for the full playlist of mines: https://goo.gl/TEKq9L If you like these videos on exploring mines, please subscribe! https://goo.gl/yjPxH1 Thanks for watching! ***** Growing up in California’s “Gold Rush Country” made it easy to take all of the history around us for granted. However, abandoned mine sites have a lot working against them – nature, vandals, scrappers and various government agencies… The old prospectors and miners that used to roam our lonely mountains and toil away deep underground are disappearing quickly as well. These losses finally caught our attention and we felt compelled to make an effort to document as many of the ghost towns and abandoned mines that we could before that niche of our history is gone forever. But, guess what? We have fun doing it! This is exploring history firsthand – bushwhacking down steep canyons and over rough mountains, figuring out the techniques the miners used and the equipment they worked with, seeing the innovations they came up with, discovering lost mines that no one has been in for a hundred years, wandering through ghost towns where the only sound is the wind... These journeys allow a feeling of connection to a time when the world was a very different place. And I’d love to think that in some small way we are paying tribute to those hardy miners that worked these mines before we were even born. So, yes, in short, we are adit addicts… I hope you’ll join us on these adventures! #ExploringAbandonedMines #MineExploring #AbandonedMines #UndergroundMineExploring

Dale Gold Mining Claim - California - 2017

07:22
The Dale Mine is located near the site of Old Dale, California. Historically this area was mined for native gold. It was reported that a single jack miner could expect to produce around 0.7 ounces per ton in gold. Many of the mines in the area were small operations worked by small miners and prospectors who vigorously defended their workings from all comers.

A Tour of the Hydraulic Pit Above the Gold Dredge | Gold Mining | Ep 4

07:07
A quick tour of the large hydraulic pit on our claim just obove the suction dredge. It was most likely from around the depression era when this was done and work stopped because of WWII and never got started back up until gold dredgers entered the scene in the 60's and 70's. Still not much gold from the dredge. The hard pack is nice, seemingly old and the boulders are plentiful, too plentiful to move fast with the mining.

The Gold Mining Ghost Town Tour Of Bodie, California

02:07
The Gold Mining Ghost Town Tour Of Bodie, California The Gold Mining Ghost Town Tour Of Bodie, California The Gold Mining Ghost Town Tour Of Bodie, California Take a tour of Bodie, California's official gold mining ghost town, once notorious as the wildest town in the West. Crooked houses, a classroom left mid-lesson and dusty coffins: Incredible photos of eerie abandoned gold rush town in California A once bustling gold rush town in Mono County, California, now stands deserted - many of the buildings lie abandoned, yet are still furnished with the personal belongings of their previous owners. The town of Bodie was named after Waterman Body, who first found gold there in 1859. By its peak in the 1880s, it was a bustling gold rush town with a population of around 10,000. In the late 1880s, Bodie's population began to decrease as new gold sources were discovered elsewhere and the miners began to move away. The town was devastated by a large fire in 1892 and by 1910, the population had plummeted to 698, with the last local newspaper ceasing publication shortly after in 1912. It retained a small population for a few decades more, despite being badly burned by another fire in the 1930s. Bodie was officially made a state park in the 1960s, preserving the remaining buildings so future generations could enjoy them. English photographer Cat Burton visited the eerie town of Bodie, which used to have a population of 10,000, to see a real life American ghost town. The 29-year-old, of Donington, Lincolnshire, says: 'I was on a road trip around California and a few people had recommended visiting Bodie, and I'm so glad I made the time to stop here. 'The most fascinating thing I saw while I was there was all the interiors of the buildings. 'After being abandoned for so long, you would expect them to be destroyed and empty. Instead, there are a wide variety of buildings still full of items. 'Aside from the dust, you could almost imagine someone living there now. All the buildings were fascinating, from the workshops full of tools to the shop with products still on display. The morgue was morbid but captivating, with dusty coffins stacked up. 'The school was probably one of my favourites as it gave me a lot of things to research; I loved the old cracked globe in the school window especially.' Cat says: 'Most people I show these images to are really fascinated by Bodie. These are the places that most of us only hear about in films or stories, but to see one up close and be able to show other people how it looked is wonderful. 'The workshops had all sorts of rusty containers and tools, and a lot of the houses still had old beds, chairs and tables in, as well as personal belongings. 'The school had a fully furnished classroom, complete with writing on the boards and books on the desks. It is so full of items it looks like everyone just vanished midway through a lesson.'

PROSPECTING FOR PLACER GOLD 1849 CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH DOCUMENTARY 64444

09:30
Made by Arthur Barr, this short film shows some of the technologies used by prospectors to find gold in the 1849 California Gold Rush. At 2:00, a prospector shows how a pan is used to sift river sand in search of gold flakes. At 2;24 a claim is staked out with a claim post. At 3:30 a rocker or cradle is made to sift gravel. At 3:53, wooden bars called riffers and a hopper to hold the sand and gravel are created from wood. At 4:40 the operation of the hopper is shown. At 6:17 a Long Tom sluice is shown, which used the power of the river to separate the sand and gold from the gravel, with gold trapped behind the riffle bars. At 8:00 gold flecks are recovered from the Long Tom via a pan. At 8:30, a series of riffle boxes are placed together to form a sluice box -- the best of all placer mining tools. Placer mining is the mining of stream bed (alluvial) deposits for minerals. This may be done by open-pit (also called open-cast mining) or by various surface excavating equipment or tunnelling equipment. Placer mining is frequently used for precious metal deposits (particularly gold) and gemstones, both of which are often found in alluvial deposits—deposits of sand and gravel in modern or ancient stream beds, or occasionally glacial deposits. The metal or gemstones, having been moved by stream flow from an original source such as a vein, are typically only a minuscule portion of the total deposit. Since gems and heavy metals like gold are considerably more dense than sand, they tend to accumulate at the base of placer deposits. It is important to note that placer deposits can be as young as a few years old, such as the Canadian Queen Charlotte beach gold placer deposits, or billions of years old like the Elliott Lake uranium paleoplacer within the Huronian Supergroup in Canada. The containing material in an alluvial placer mine may be too loose to safely mine by tunnelling, though it is possible where the ground is permanently frozen. Where water under pressure is available, it may be used to mine, move, and separate the precious material from the deposit, a method known as hydraulic mining, hydraulic sluicing or hydraulicking. We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting? Tell people what it is and what they can see by writing something for example: "01:00:12:00 -- President Roosevelt is seen meeting with Winston Churchill at the Quebec Conference." Adventure and change can give a degree of satisfaction and relief yet even these may seem too tame. To those who feel drawn to something beyond the entertainment and stimulation of senses I offer a walk along The Path of Wildness. Don't bother penciling the event in your schedule, preparing a pack with goodies and supplies or even inviting a friend along, for this experience is along the course of your first inclination and you must surely always go alone. AMRA claim tour. Terrible day gold mining Northern California

09:17
We had a terrible day mining. We found nothing in 5 hours of testing and exploring. We almost drove off of two separate cliffs trying to find the claim (but that was our fault, the directions were straight forward). This is a great spot to camp and shoot, but if you are looking for gold, I'd go elsewhere.

Gold Mining California - Panned for Gold and Struck it Big!!!!!!!!! 🤑 💰 // Winnebago RV Family

13:48
Gold Mining California- Panned for Gold and Struck it Big! In this video, we take a fun journey into central California to try our hand at panning for Gold. We used a company called Gold Prospecting Adventures. We had a fantastic guide named Frank. He was very sweet, patient and a good teacher. He showed us what we needed to do and sure enough, we did find gold at the end of the rainbow. The adventure was fun and the outdoors were the best part. The mining camp we went to was set up as a classic mining camp. This is just another reason we do RV living full time in 2017. We are Fouralifetime - a fun, vibrant family of four who has embarked on an epic journey across the United States, Canada and beyond in our Class A Winnebago Sightseer Motorhome. Living the fulltime RV lifestyle isn't always easy, but it is worth it. As we travel, we document our successes and failures and our dreams and hopes as we share with others through our family travel vlog. We hope to inspire others to "Choose Your Own Adventure" and seek out More Better Days whether you travel fulltime now or dream of RV life in the future. Along the path, we share tips and hacks, how-tos RV tours and Tech Guides and Reviews as well as looking to others for inspiration. Whether you're an RV newbie or a seasoned veteran, there is something for you. RV living has allowed us to re-think our lifestyle and realize that it's not about acquiring stuff; but rather acquiring memories and living a life that has no boundaries. Join us on this crazy journey! We thank you for coming along for the ride! Thanks so much for viewing our videos and travel vlogs. Please like, subscribe and remember to share. We love creating quality family friendly content for you to enjoy about life in an RV. Let us know what you think of our mobile living and family travel in our class A Winnebago Motorhome.
