Coffs Harbour area - Bare Bluff, Diggers Point, Fidderman's Gold mine, headland and beach
Kevin, an old-school fellow approached us on the beach and gave us a random tour and information about Bare Bluff, Diggers Point, Fidderman's Gold mine, headland and beach. He was just like a high-school teacher. I have no idea about whether any of the information he gave us is true or whether he is a con artist. Any feedback is most welcome......

Gold Dredging Adventure - Found Indian Artifacts and Gold!
This was a really awesome adventure with my good friends Corrie, Joy, Tony, and Lincoln. We hauled my Gold dredge down to the creek on their farm, for my very first hunt with it this year. It felt good to get it back in the water. I let Joy do most of the dredging and I think she had a blast!. Her and Possum ( Lincoln) really enjoy searching for Gold and Indian relics. Joy also has been arrowhead hunting for many years, She is very passionate about it too!. After 5 hours of dredging we had to pack everything up because of the thunder storm, But we all had a wonderful time while it lasted. A Big thanks to Corrie for letting me come down and dredge the creek. I hope you enjoyed the video and Thank You for watching. I will have more Gold dredging videos coming this summer. "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!" - Psalm 72:18-19 God Bless.

The Biggest Secret In Australian Gold Mining History
You don't have to believe me, that's fine with me. I can say this, right after I made this video, I overlaid the Australian gold map over this, and I was right about the dark spots. Nut there was also some bright areas as well. You would want to get your alignment very precise. Remember me when this all pays off for you. If you need my help you can send me a plane ticket, and we can go get some nuggets. I know this is hard to believe, but if you watch some of my other videos, it will make it easier.

DEATH OF AN OPAL MINING TOWN: Mintabie, South Australia gemstone
In January, 2018, the Australian government announced the closing of the town of Mintabie, where, in some of the world's best opal was mined. Mintabie is in Aboriginal lands, although in a resolution, the government leased the town for a period of time, ending in the early 2000's. The reason for the closure of the town (and the mines) was, in my view due to the depletion of opal. Most of the miners left and the town declined, prompting closure. This video is intended as a celebration of the great opal town of Mintabie and its fabulous opal.

Sofala is a village in New South Wales, Australia, 255 kilometres (158 mi) north-west of Sydney, within Bathurst Regional Council. It is located beside the Turon River. Sofala is just off the Bathurst-Ilford Road, with only local traffic through the town itself. At the 2006 census, Sofala had a population of 208. Turon River Near Sofala Sofala came about as a direct result of the gold rush which had been spurred on when Edward Hargraves discovered gold at Summerhill Creek on 12 February 1851. By June of that year, thousands of people had set up mining operations in the valley, and both the Royal Hotel and a general store were built in 1851 to handle the increased demand. Initially, gold was found in the area known as Gold Point on the Turon River. When the alluvial gold ran out, mining turned to quartz reef mining. The town was a centre of opposition to the gold licensing system in New South Wales at the time. A considerable proportion of the miners were Chinese. Sofala Public School was established in 1878. There was an Anglican church and a Catholic convent. The Convent opened in 1872 and closed in 1909, although it was a church until 1970. The Gas Hotel was one of the first two hotels licensed, in 1851. The Royal Hotel was established in 1862.There were also two other hotels in 1866, Sofala Inn and Barley Mow. The Barley Mow having a Cobb and Co booking office. Now a private residence, the Post Office and telegraph office, built in 1879 operated until 1989. Attractions today include the gold-rush-era Sofala Royal Hotel and the old gaol. Small-scale gold workings are still active in the town. Sofala has been reported to be the oldest surviving gold-rush town in Australia. There are still gold prospectors who pass the time using metal detectors, gold pans, and sluice boxes to recover small quantities of gold dust.

Huge gold-encrusted rocks unearthed in Australia, miners in West Australia find gold
Huge gold-encrusted rocks unearthed in Australia Huge gold-encrusted rocks unearthed in Australia, miners in West Australia find goldMiners in Western Australia say they have discovered two huge gold-encrusted rocks that are each estimated to be worth millions of dollars. The largest specimen, weighing 95kg (210lb), was found to contain more than 2,400 ounces of gold, Canadian miner RNC Minerals said. Miners in Australia often extract as little as 2g of gold per tonne of rock, Prof Spearing told the BBC. RNC Minerals said it had extracted 2,200g per tonne. "Very, very seldom do we see results on that level. This is an exceedingly rare find and very exciting," Prof Spearing said. He said that gold particles were often too small to be visible to the human eye. Image copyrightRNC MINERALS Image caption Concentrations of gold seen in the Beta Hunt mine The Beta Hunt mine had primarily been running as a nickel operation until last week's discovery. The company had targeted the gold vein, located 500m (1,600ft) underground, after finding traces of gold closer to the surface in June. RNC Minerals chief executive Mark Selby said the largest rocks would go to auction as collector items. The company said it had extracted gold worth about C$15m (£9m; $11m) from a mine near Kalgoorlie last week. One mining engineer described the finds as "exceedingly rare". "People do still record finding nuggets in the goldfields, but typically they are less than several ounces," said Prof Sam Spearing, director of the Western Australia School of Mines at Curtin University. The mining company valued the largest rock at about C$4m. It said the second-largest - a 63kg specimen with an estimated 1,600 ounces of gold - was worth C$2.6m. Historical - Gold Trails
In an extraordinary period from 1851 onwards, people rushed to make their fortunes on a series of goldfields that were discovered in NSW. The new finds significantly impacted the early agricultural towns and villages. New settlements were established to service thousands of prospectors and miners who came and went. Many came from Australia and overseas to win the gold, many set up businesses to feed and supply the miners, while some chose to steal. Today, this golden heritage vein underpins the story of nearly every major town and village across central and south west NSW. Every goldfield has its own trail to follow -- every goldmining family their own story to tell. Follow the GOLD TRAILS and discover for yourself, the heritage riches underpinning the towns, villages and landscapes of NSW. Here the stories of those who won the gold and those who stole the gold, are brought to life by communities committed to conserving and sharing their heritage. Abandoned: Lightning Ridge outback Australia 4 miners digs
Abandoned.I decided recently to do a roadtrip out west of where I live and headed 8 hrs out to a place called Lightning Ridge to do some exploring and see what I could find. I found a lot of great things and was pleasantly surprised at what I did find out there. Lightning Ridge is a barren mining town based on opals and is the largest producer of black opal for the world market. It has a lot of people come into town to try and make their fortune but most rarely succeed and it is only about one in ten that will actually find opal. A lot of places I found had been abandoned, people probably ended up giving up and moved back east either because they were unsuccessful or the 55c heat in summer was too much to bare? I could have stayed for another couple of days to have a real good look around because there was so much to see and so many photo opportunities. I hope you enjoy this video and it is interesting for people not from Australia. I loved exploring here so leave a comment and let me know what you thought. Please give me a thumbs up and share my video to help my channel grow and I'll see you next time. Thanks for watching

The total length of the Bruxner Hwy is 420 Km (261 ml) from the eastern end at Ballina to the western end at Boggabilla. This trip was on the section from Tenterfield NSW to Drake NSW. Drake is a small rural community 44km east of Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia. In 1858 gold was discovered in the area at Timbarra. A few years later copper was mined in the vicinity. The Timbarra Post Office was opened in 1858 and then renamed, Drake, in 1867, closing in 1871. Later, the Drake Post Office opened in 1879. In 1872 the Australian Antimony Co. began mining in the area. Between 1872 and 1890, Drake was a thriving mining and timber town with 14 Hotels. ONE OF A SERIES ON KALGOORLIE SEE http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=DON+PUGH+KALGOORLIE History KAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA In June 1893, prospectors Patrick (Paddy) Hannan, Tom Flanagan, and Dan O'Shea were travelling to Mt Youle when one of their horses cast a shoe. During the resultant halt in their journey, the men noticed signs of gold in the area, and decided to stay put. On June 17, 1893, Hannan filed a Reward Claim, leading to hundreds of men swarming to the area in search of gold and Kalgoorlie was born. The mining of gold, along with other metals such as nickel, has been a major industry in Kalgoorlie ever since. The concentrated area of large gold mines surrounding the original Hannan find is often referred to as the Golden Mile, and is considered by some to be the richest square mile of earth on the planet. The town's population was about 30,000 people in 1903. The narrow gauge Government railway line reached Kalgoorlie in the 1896, and the main named railway service from Perth was the overnight sleeper train The Westland which ran until the 1970s. In 1917, a standard gauge railway line was completed, connecting Kalgoorlie to the city of Port Augusta, South Australia, across 2000 km of desert, and consequently the rest of the eastern states. The standardisation of the railway connecting Perth (which changed route from the narrow gauge route) in 1968 made it possible for rail travel from Perth to Sydney - and the Indian Pacific rail service commenced soon after. Places, famous or infamous, that Kalgoorlie is noted for include its water pipeline, designed by C. Y. O'Connor, which brings in fresh water from Mundaring Weir near Perth; its Hay Street brothels (the street itself was apparently named after Hay Street, Perth); its two-up school; the goldfields railway loopline; the Kalgoorlie Town Hall; the Paddy Hannan statue/drinking fountain; the Super Pit; and Mt Charlotte lookout. Its main street is Hannan Street, named after the town's founder.
