Creating a ripple effect reaching out to into their families, their clients lives and out into their communities. Find out how you can be part of this change. We each have a purpose within us waiting to be realised and you could already be so close. Client issues can become embodied by the therapist. When symptoms are given space for meaning making to occur they become transformed into an invitation to greater life. The balance between giving and receiving and receiving becomes restored. Phenomenology: skill of tuning into and tracking what is experienced in the body and what it is deeply connected to.Therapists relearn how to be grounded, open and available in a sustainable way with clarity from enhanced Reflective Functioning: the therapist can observe themselves, the client, and the therapeutic relationship as separate and interconnected parts of the bigger context of their lives. Family and Systemic Constellation techniques allows parts of self, issue, symptom or family to be easily seen and worked through so entanglements can be made sense of and Orders of Love are restored with a new healing picture created in one’s memory. Practitioners feel effective in their work and notice this in themselves, changing how they view their future life…..and their client’s lives. Repetition grows new neural pathways, new procedural memories. Fractals happen: benefits are experienced on many levels. Learning engaging the whole self. Where knowledge is techniques are ‘experienced’ in a process that is explicit. The importance of sourcing support from wherever it can come, taking action to make a difference in your own life and others. All aspects of self become more integrated and whole. We are the instruments that makes the difference. Internalising support from the group strengthens the individual and becomes a resource available for you and clients to draw upon later when needed. This training is suitable for anyone who can work in a therapeutic Tuning into your heart, your calling, what you are passionate about becomes clear and tangible. Our time here is short. How on track are you with this? Making sense and meaning, seeing one’s self as part of a coherent narrative, frees us up to be who we truly are, beyond our circumstances. Fully resourced to move forward in our lives. It’s not too late. If you are watching this, then perhaps this training is for you?Do you work with challenging clients? Or have challenges in other areas of your life? Challenge = Opportunity. Participants learned how to be open to new experiences, to be open to the unknown, to hold curiosity and to trust in the process. Repeated experiences of locating personal resources fires up lost neural connections so a felt sense of support is present again. A felt sense of safety allows exploration for awareness to open up where emotions can be released and resistances melt away. How well do you do this for yourself and with your clients? How well do you sit with client resistance? How do you give it a place in your work? Experiencing stepping out of isolation and disconnection, and stepping into community. Not being in a parallel process with clients. Are you ready to give it a go? Healing and Transformation beyond words. Linking theory to practice and consolidating your learning is needed to feel confident and competent as a practitioner. How well do you connect with your heart in your work? To guide you? Are you open to something new? If yes, then click on the link below to register for the next training opportunity for you. Inquiries to [email protected] or (+61) 0400402381.

The Ripple Effect: Improving Sales via Process Improvement Tests

04:54
Listen to Enrollment Resource's Vice President of Business Development, Sterling Simpson, explain how schools can pursue conversion rate optimization through a/b testing, or split testing. Transcript below. If you think you have a marketing or admissions problem, you probably do. Let’s talk about how we can help you school increase student enrollment and revenue without having to spend more on marketing or hire additional staff. 250-391-9494 [email protected] www.enrollmentresources.com/contact Transcript: Sterling: Conversion rate optimization is taking your current traffic that's already coming to the web site and finding a way to make it convert at a higher rate through testing. It can through A/B testing which is testing two different things on the web site and seeing which one produces a higher conversion rate. Or it could be multi-variant where you test many different variables on the web site and compare them all and see which one also performs best. That's always optimizing the web site for constant improvements so you're trying to get better and higher conversion rates through constant testing. It does not require more traffic than you currently have to the web site, it's using the existing traffic. Sterling: So split testing is where you take a hypothesis that, something different on the web site will perform better than how it currently is. You take how the web site currently is and call that control and you make the one change and that becomes the hypothesis and the control would be A and the hypothesis could be B. Then you serve 50% of your traffic going to the web site either A or B and then when you have a statistically significant amount of data, you can determine with a 95 or 99% degree of confidence that one or the other is better. So if you are able to prove that test B, the hypothesis is better than the control, then you learn something new that could become a best practice. If you learn that control or the A was performed better, then you continue doing that and you'd find something else to test later. Sterling: Yeah, this is really important because it's a great way to improve performance without a large investment. So if you currently have a conversion rate on a web site say of 5%, that's 1 in 20 people are performing an action, possibly even making a purchase on an ecommerce web site, if you could improve that conversion rate to 6 of 7%, that sounds like a very small increase, but it's really a 6% conversion rate or a 5% is a 20% improvement. So you have 20% more gross sales or leads depending on what the web site is trying produce. So it's a great way to improve your numbers and improve sales and overall revenue without making a large investment and without overhauling and changing everything you're currently doing. Sterling: So, if you're trying to achieve an outcome and both of those are your choices, split testing would be the more cost effective choice. It may take a little longer because you have to get enough data to come to a conclusion in split testing to be able to make it actionable. But then again, the hiring process is not a quick one either so it is just a lot more, compared to buying for sure, it's more cost effective and hiring also takes a lot of time for training and actually seeing if the person is a right fit and with split testing you're moving towards a result and you're not going to be investing that same amount of effort or finances into the results you want. Sterling: Some best practices actually can move across industry so certain things like what makes someone complete an action, like colors that were actionable. That is comparable across industries. If you're working like at Amazon, who is an ecommerce web site, they came to the same conclusion that we did with our testing on what color buttons should be. We are working on trying to get leads for education industry and Amazon's trying to get ecommerce sales and both have the same learning and the same best practice came true. So there is a lot of crossover and you can compare a lot of other industries to this industry. What I recommend is you take it and you test yourself as well until you just prove that what has already been proven is true for this industry as well. Sterling: Yeah, I'm just really passionate about split testing because I feel it's probably ... first off, it's a really cost effective way to do things and also at Enrollment Resources we believe in pursuing the truth and split testing is a prime example of that. We're looking purely at data to try to prove truths which is going to be how to improve a web site and when we come to a statistically significant conclusion that we can say with a high degree of confidence it performs better, then all of our clients get that benefit.

Child Therapy - Impact

http://www.NLP4Kids.org Find out more about NLP4Kids and our work with children, teenagers and young people or how you can get free NLP practitioner training when you join our team! For more info visit our website - http://www.NLP4Kids.org Impact Recently the NLP4Kids team got together for a research project. We are going to be researching the effectiveness of our work in a measured way in a specific area of NLP with a specific defined group of people. On the day, we were very fortunate to have the insight of Olive Hickmott a specialist in learning difficulties who has successfully undertaken a research project previously. Olive gave us some sound advice about the effectiveness of our work, pointing out that any area of impact we look into with children could be reduced or indeed heightened by the parents and teachers around that child. Earlier this week I was working with a young person who has been having some difficulties in his life. The difficulties came about because his life went through several significant changes in a short space of time. He moved to a different area, joined a new school, got bullied, his parents divorced, he moved house again and the dynamics of his family changed considerably. As a result he started acting in unwanted ways and become a great worry to his family. Then they came to see me. It's absolutely true that in working with any individual we have to take into consideration the environmental factors, the people around them and the other influences other than the one we may be having, many of which will be far more powerful than ours. It's part of the reason why I wrote the NLP4Parents and NLP4Teachers programmes. But it's also true that when someone changes, there is a ripple effect on the system that potentially used to influence them. They young person I was working with was relatively mature for his 13 years. During a session of perceptual positions (in which they move to a different physical location in order to take on the personality and view point of others around them who are involved in their situation) he began to realise how his behaviour was affecting others around him, not just him. Suddenly my initial concern about his environmental factors holding him back became the reins that he could hold and control. It became his power. He was suddenly no longer a victim of his circumstances, causing him to behave in harmful ways as a symptom his life, but the puppeteer who commanded the attention of those around him using his behaviour. I used the perceptual positions process to highlight this. As he acted out being the other members of his family I referenced back to his own chair that he had been seated in at the start of the session and asked "and how would (his name) getting better affect you, dad?" He then told me then how him taking control would positively influence each member of his family. Of course there could be negative ripple effects here too. Sometimes changing means others do not have to worry about you which can make them feel a little redundant if that's something they were used to doing. Ultimately the lesson here is once again that the world around us can prevent us from changing or be out momentum for changing, it simply depends on the perspective you (and the child and family) have on the impact of that change. http://www.NLP4Kids.org Find out more about NLP4Kids and our work with children, teenagers and young people or how you can get free NLP practitioner training when you join our team! Causes, Treatment & Prevention Of Drug Abuse Training Video

26:38
National Institute of Drug Addiction. Drug Abuse: Meeting the Challenge. NTIS A17166VNB1, 1987. Causes, treatment and prevention of drug abuse are explored. Interviews with NIDA personnel and research scientists about ways the government is researching and combating drug abuse. Tape is somewhat clinical in nature. Producer: National Institutes of Health. Keywords: FedFlix; ntis.gov. Principles of Drug Addiction Treatment. More than three decades of scientific research have yielded 13 fundamental principles that characterize effective drug abuse treatment. These principles are detailed in NIDA's Principles of Drug Addiction Treatment: A Research-Based Guide. 1. No single treatment is appropriate for all individuals. Matching treatment settings, interventions, and services to each patient's problems and needs is critical. 2. Treatment needs to be readily available. Treatment applicants can be lost if treatment is not immediately available or readily accessible. 3. Effective treatment attends to multiple needs of the individual, not just his or her drug use. Treatment must address the individual's drug use and associated medical, psychological, social, vocational, and legal problems. 4. At different times during treatment, a patient may develop a need for medical services, family therapy, vocational rehabilitation, and social and legal services. 5. Remaining in treatment for an adequate period of time is critical for treatment effectiveness. The time depends on an individual's needs. For most patients, the threshold of significant improvement is reached at about 3 months in treatment. Additional treatment can produce further progress. Programs should include strategies to prevent patients from leaving treatment prematurely. 6. Individual and/or group counseling and other behavioral therapies are critical components of effective treatment for addiction. In therapy, patients address motivation, build skills to resist drug use, replace drug-using activities with constructive and rewarding nondrug-using activities, and improve problem-solving abilities. Behavioral therapy also facilitates interpersonal relationships. 7. Medications are an important element of treatment for many patients, especially when combined with counseling and other behavioral therapies. Buprenorphine, methadone and levo-alpha-acetylmethodol (LAAM) help persons addicted to opiates stabilize their lives and reduce their drug use. Naltrexone is effective for some opiate addicts and some patients with co-occurring alcohol dependence. Nicotine patches or gum, or an oral medication, such as buproprion, can help persons addicted to nicotine. 8. Addicted or drug-abusing individuals with coexisting mental disorders should have both disorders treated in an integrated way. 9. Medical detoxification is only the first stage of addiction treatment and by itself does little to change long-term drug use. Medical detoxification manages the acute physical symptoms of withdrawal. For some individuals it is a precursor to effective drug addiction treatment. 10. Treatment does not need to be voluntary to be effective. Sanctions or enticements in the family, employment setting, or criminal justice system can significantly increase treatment entry, retention, and success. 11. Possible drug use during treatment must be monitored continuously. Monitoring a patient's drug and alcohol use during treatment, such as through urinalysis, can help the patient withstand urges to use drugs. Such monitoring also can provide early evidence of drug use so that treatment can be adjusted. 12. Treatment programs should provide assessment for HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases, and counseling to help patients modify or change behaviors that place them or others at risk of infection. Counseling can help patients avoid high-risk behavior and help people who are already infected manage their illness. 13. Recovery from drug addiction can be a long-term process and frequently requires multiple episodes of treatment. As with other chronic illnesses, relapses to drug use can occur during or after successful treatment episodes. Participation in self-help support programs during and following treatment often helps maintain abstinence. Creative Commons license: Public Domain

Moral (Values-Based) Leadership Training: Power Differentials and Emotional Intelligence

16:52
All people might be created equal, but we don't tend to think of ourselves or others as having equal "weight" (clout or power). Thus, our perceptions and subsequent choices in communications can either help or hinder group cohesion toward the group's success. The game board in this video visually depicts these dynamics so we might better discern 1) the internal ripple effects from our personal values in our Emotional Intelligence and 2) the external ripple effects in communications in the face of Power Differentials. Spiritual resilience. like physical resilience, takes time and effort. As a visual reminder of the many parallels, I wear a physical training uniform in most of the other videos in one this channel. If this is your first time viewing a video in this series, I recommend that you first view "Introduction to Resilience Training" and "Introduction to Spiritual Resilience Training". The primary audience for this video series is the unit of Soldiers, Department of the Army (DA) Civilians and their Family members with which I (Chaplain Dillard) am currently assigned. Please submit any requests for training (via on-site forums, VTC, or additional specific videos) through your supervisor to [email protected] If you would like to request confidential counseling (via on-site forum or secure webcam), please contact me directly. ...because leaders' decisions are like magnets, munitions, or mud. Each decision can draw their team closer to the leader and vision; it can scatter or kill trust, communication, teamwork, etc.; or it can make it harder for the team to move in any direction. The MLT board game visually depicts these dynamics so we might better discern the ripple effects of our decisions at work, in our families, social networks, and more. Spiritual resilience. like physical resilience, takes time and effort. As a visual reminder of the many parallels, I wear a physical training uniform in each of these videos. If this is your first time viewing a video in this series, I recommend that you first view "Introduction to Resilience Training" and "Introduction to Spiritual Resilience Training". Twenty Minutes a day, in the pursuit of Happiness | Teju Nageswari | TEDxKIITUniversity

15:48
One out of ten people in India suffer from clinical depression, and yet, such issues are generally considered a social stigma, and swept under the carpet. In a country of 176 million people, only 20,000 people are proficient enough to offer mental care. Several surveys have proved that a person’s mental illness tends to create a ripple effect on other bodily functions, taking its primary toll on the cardiovascular system. Having been through a particularly difficult phase in her life, Mrs. Teju Nageswari undertook a formal training and now provides mental care solutions to the people in need, through her startup ‘n-smiles’. After suffering through depression herself, she took a formal training in coaching and counselling to be able to provide best psychology solutions to those people who have been caught up in the hands of depression. Her team at nSmiles developed the app – Happy Being App, a portal for helping people through various programs. Happy Being App has got more than 1.5 lakh downloads and was on global top charts. As winners of Start-up Weekend from Bengaluru, the app was declared as the runner-up in ‘Do the Kind Track’ (only start- up from India so far) at Global Start-up Battle 2014. She has helped a lot of individuals who are already managing their stress at different levels well through the tool that provides personal development and stress management through the wellness approach. MSPP School Psychology - Apr27, 2012

04:24
MOST REWARDING JOB - School Psychologist - US News School psychology is a wonderful career choice—it's challenging and rewarding, and incredibly important work. School psychologists apply advanced expertise in education, human development, and personal-social relationships—along with sensitivity and respect for others— in helping children and adolescents to be socially, emotionally, and mentally prepared for life. Schools provide an opportunity to support the well-being of all children. In fact, 70% of all mental health services for children are delivered in schools. MSPP has a stellar reputation for preparing mental health professionals. We describe our training model as experiential education—a model that explicitly links classroom instruction with concurrent field work. Our school psychology students are in field placements every year of the program, and this is where they carry out many of their class assignments. We believe this is the best way to train professionals who are knowledgeable, skilled, confident, and self-aware. We provide state of the art training in a learning environment that is community-oriented, collaborative, student-centered, and socially responsible. Given our experiential education model, field supervisors are key members of our learning community. We are proud to work closely with top-notch field supervisors. We support our field supervisors by offering continuing education and consultation, and we support their schools by setting up special programs—like Primary Project—and by having our students provide valuable, evidence-based services. This produces a ripple effect of interactive value: our graduate students learn, and their schoolchildren benefit. There are long-term ripples, too, as our graduates become field supervisors, and our field supervisors become doctoral students in our School Psychology PsyD Program. It is said that school psychologists know more about education than other psychologists, and know more about psychology than other educators. Our curriculum is comprehensive, covering the skills, knowledge and attitudes in all 10 competency areas proposed by the National Association of School Psychologists. The MSPP School Psychology Program has a particular focus as well, with an emphasis on prevention and mental health. School psychology careers are rewarding and fulfilling! U.S. News and World Report routinely gives school psychology top marks when it rates best jobs, based on career opportunities, job satisfaction, work conditions, job security, and pay. With school psychologists in short supply, there are jobs for school psychologists even in difficult economic times. All of our graduates are finding jobs, and the work they do is making their schools better places.

Substance Abuse Training: PowerPoint, DVD, or Web Course for Training on Substance Abuse

01:16
http://workexcel.net/drug-and-alcohol-training-drug-and-alcohol-course.html - Substance abuse training for employee or supervisors must cover key concepts. They include the different drugs of abuse (their classifications) and solid substance abuse training on alcohol. Alcohol, alcohol abuse, and alcoholism are the toughest challenges for any training program because this substance of abuse is the most confusing. Alcohol abuse has been around for thousands of years, so being able to explain it clearly so employees in substance abuse training aren't confused, but instead, actually self-diagnose or discover facts that zap their myths and misconceptions about four distinct things: alcoholism, alcohol abuse, addiction, cause of addiction, the myth of psychological dependency or addiction, and denial, enabling, and what effective treatment includes. This program includes alcohol abuse in the workplace, and it is powerful. http://workexcel.net/drug-and-alcohol-training-drug-and-alcohol-course.html

Chemical Dependency Counseling and Drug Abuse Therapy with Dr. Pavan Mann | BASIC Spine

00:59
We're here for you: http://www.BasicSpine.com, talk to a doctor today! Or Call us: 855-33-BASIC Chemical Dependency and using drugs and abuse alcohol to deal with pain. http://www.basicspine.com/blog/chemical-dependency-overcoming-drug-addiction/ Overmedicating on prescribed medications because of chronic body pain that is real and legitimate. Dr Mann provides healthy methods to deal with pain and overcome mental blocks to becoming pain free. Substance Abuse / Chemical Dependency Teens Who Abuse Alcohol and/or Drugs Parental and peer substance use are considered two of the more common factors contributing to youthful decisions regarding substance use. The age at which adolescents begin to use alcohol is decreasing, with 25 percent of young people beginning to drink before the age of 13, according to the CDC. Some adolescents are more at risk of developing substance-related disorders. This includes adolescents with one or more of the following conditions present: children of substance abusers; adolescents who are victims of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse; adolescents with mental health problems, especially depressed and suicidal teens; and physically disabled adolescents. Adolescent substance abuse is believed by some to be the most commonly missed pediatric diagnosis. Adolescents who use drugs are most likely to visit a physician's office with no obvious physical findings. Substance abuse problems are more likely to be discovered by physicians when adolescents are injured in accidents occurring while under the influence, or when they are brought for medical services because of intentional efforts to hurt themselves. What is substance abuse/chemical dependence? There are three different terms used to define substance-related disorders, including the following: Substance abuse Substance abuse is used to describe a pattern of substance (drug) use leading to significant problems or distress such as failure to attend work/school, substance use in dangerous situations (driving a car), substance-related legal problems, or continued substance use that interferes with friendships and/or family relationships. Substance abuse, as a disorder, refers to the abuse of illegal substances or the abusive use of legal substances. Alcohol is the most common legal drug of abuse. Substance dependence Substance dependence is used to describe continued use of drugs or alcohol, even when significant problems related to their use have developed. Signs include an increased tolerance or need for increased amounts of substance to attain the desired effect, withdrawal symptoms with decreased use, unsuccessful efforts to decrease use, increased time spent in activities to obtain substances, withdrawal from social and recreational activities, and continued use of substance even with awareness of physical or psychological problems encountered by the extent of substance use. Chemical dependence Chemical dependence is also used to describe the compulsive use of chemicals (drugs or alcohol) and the inability to stop using them despite all the problems caused by their use.
