93 ratings | 23595 views
Hey guys, in this video I am going to be talking about the top 4 cards for mining ethereum in 2017. I will be comparing the RX 480, RX 580, GTX 1070 and GTX 1080ti . It is important to compare both performance and price when determining which card is best for you. I think ADM GPU's are really good in mining. Here i found a best GPU for mining Ethereum and others. Its cheap and low power consumption only 105W and amazing Hash rate 30MH/s with bios mod - https://goo.gl/dnffgu I think this is the best GPU for Starting. First of all its cheap and also low power consumption. And Hash rate is great compare than the price

4:30 AMD RX 580 I do believe installing AMD official blockchain drivers reverses the Drag Epoch issue. Sources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh-stoDSfIQ http://1stminingrig.com/ethereum-dag-hashrate-drop-fix-amd-official-mining-drivers-are-now-out/ The downside to this would be unoptimizing gaming performance.

Where is rx470?

I got two Vega 56's on Black Friday for $399 each, and they do 44 MG/s each for Eth, at 160 watts each. I didn't realize the 1080ti was so damn shitty for mining Eth.

would you recommend the 1080TI if initial cost wasnt that big of deal? Like Im more interested in costs per day rather than the upfront fixed cost of buying it

Appreciate the review and opinions on the cards. I read somewhere this a.m. that most of these cards will be obsolete in the ability to profitably create revenue by fall of 2019. Something about DAG, which was over my head. Just starting out, I'm cautious even about starting a rig, due to the high cost of the GPU's. Your thoughts on when the computations will be so great and time consuming that these cards won't turn any profit? I guess if you get your money back in 2 to 3 months, everything else is profit minus the elect. I have no bias either way. Just don't want to overpay for some cards, only to find out within 6 months their barely turning a profit... ;) Can you share your thoughts .... on this subject?

You shouldn't. There won't be any Ethereum mining when 8GB VRAM will be required in order to mine it . Ethereum will use PoS instead of PoW by then. Also mining other coins doesn't even require 4GB VRAM.
Mike Juan (9 months ago)
Make sure to get 8GB cards and you'll be fine. If you can find 1080ti's cheap(lol, but possible I guess), that 11GB of VRAM helps future proof you even more. I feel kinda sorry for all the people that never took these into consideration, and stocked up on 4GB cards.

What about 2 rx 570 4hb power Color red devil ??
Wapn Perfo (11 months ago)
RX Vega is the way to go for performance. Modded it is low power draw and both the 56 and 64 can eclipse 42mH.

How about the power consumption?

Nice video. Thank you. What would you use to overclock 1070 the first card you showed at the begining of the video?

Is this a good buy now https://sites.google.com/site/AffordableMiningRig

Tech With Tim Thank you. Will check it out

You can use MSI afterburner, if you need a guide on how to overclock check out the video on my channel

Ethereum mining is on the way out... you're really late to the party. ETH is going to move to POS before you hit your ROI for any of these cards. And you completely left out the best Nvidia cards. The 3gb 1060 FTW+ will get 25mh, and the 3gb 1060 SC will get 20mh, both at lower initial cost and power draw -_-

Whats that ??? You have a faulty crystal ball???? 5 months later ether is still here and it ant going anywhere............... Do you have a Better crystal ball that you can rub on and predict more bulsh*t ???? let us know
Charles Scott (9 months ago)
Mike Juan how am I wrong? The 3gb 1060s still have the lowest ROI of any GPU
Mike Juan (9 months ago)
How does it feel to be so wrong?

"the kid (literally) is generalizing" So what's the point of making the video in the first place? Information needs to be specific in the case of mining in order to be useful.
goldbondx (11 months ago)
Dude..the kid (literally) is generalizing. He doesn't seem to be receiving free cards from manufacturers to assess all models. Quite honestly, his video was informative and to the point. The only thing he could add is that NVidia are also great for other currencies such as ZCash.
